Inspection with igus jointed-arm robot
In this customer test, the inspection of cylinder furnaces was to be automated. For this purpose, a ReBel jointed-arm robot with 6 degrees of freedom is to be mounted overhead on a seventh axis at the end customer's site, which then carries out the quality control with a thermal camera. To do this, the robot must stop every 500 mm on the 5300 mm long seventh axis to perform a 360 degree movement.
Articulated arm robots, in combination with vision systems or scanners, are suitable for a wide range of quality assurance applications.
